Qualifications for Membership to Golden Key at CSUSB
Membership is based on invitation only. Invitation is based on three criteria:
The first is to have earned a Junior standing at Cal State, San Bernardino.
The second is the successful completion of 36 quarter units at Cal State, San Bernardino.
The third is to have no less than a 3.5 overall GPA at Cal State, San Bernardino.
After these requirements have been fulfilled you can expect an invitation to be sent to your mailing address. If you have
completed these requirements and have not received an invitation please call Golden Key International at 1-888-377-9511.
If you are eligible and have received an invitation but still need an authorization code you can call 1-800-219-3159.
There is a one time $60.00 membership fee and no other fees for the rest of your natural or unnatural life!!
Why should you become a member of Golden Key?
Pick the right answer below:
1. Cuz it's awesome!
2. It makes you look taller!
3. You will be better able to pick up on other smart guys or gals!
If you selected answer # 1, you would be absolutely right. Golden Key has a lot to offer and you can get out of it as much as
you want or can. More importantly it is one of those rare instances where what you and others get out of it is considerably
more than what you put into it. For more specific details about the advantages to you of being a Golden Key member please
see the Benefits page.
If you chose answer number 2, then you are most likely correct also. The advantages alone from being a Golden Key
member can relieve you of some financial burden by providing you discounts and potential scholarship opportunities. Such
a relief often has physical manifestations such as more confidence and pride which in turn can allow you to hold your head up
just a little higher, thusly increasing your stature. Ok, so that might be a little bit of a "stretch", but it could happen.
On the other hand if you selected answer number 3, then you could be correct. You will definitely be involved with
individuals who by mere membership are in the top 15% of your school. But beyond that - you're on your own.
If you selected all of the above then you would be correct, but that wasn't a choice.

How to become a member of Golden Key
Complete the requirements listed above for minimum units and GPA.
Receive an invitation to join which includes an application, an authorization code and instructions.
Follow the instructions to fill out the application. Mail it with a check to the address provided on the application or deliver it
to CSUSB University Hall Room 234.
An alternative is to go to the Golden Key International web site and select "Join Now". You can fill out the on-line
application, provide your authorization code and use a credit card method of payment.
